Systems Engineer III - Intune Focus

Purpose:

As a Systems Engineer on the End User Technology Desktop Engineering Team at Athene, your primary focus will be on delivering a secure, modern, and automated desktop environment-with Microsoft Intune at the core of everything we do.

We're looking for someone who brings deep, hands-on experience with Intune for application packaging, patching, device provisioning, and policy management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about automation, security, and user experience.

Accountabilities:

• Manage the packaging and deployment of applications using Microsoft Intune (Win32App).
• Manage Windows patching and third-party updates through Intune and Microsoft Autopatch.
• Own and improve the automated build and provisioning process using Autopilot.
• Support and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 issues related to Windows 10/11 desktops.
• Document technical processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Innovate and consistently improve the environment for the enterprise and provide technical leadership while working with other teams in IT and the business.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Proven expertise in Microsoft Intune for device and application management.

• Strong experience with Windows desktop patching, Autopatch, and Autopilot.
• Background in automation and scripting for desktop management.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is highly desirable.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with Entra, MDM, and Active Directory Group Policy is a plus.
