Job Description
This Supervisor will serve as INCOG's leader for its calibration program and is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of instruments and equipment used in the pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. INCOG's Calibration Supervisor oversees the calibration, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment, ensuring each meets regulatory standards and company procedures. The position will manage a team of calibration professionals ensuring regulatory compliance. This role involves planning, scheduling, and documenting calibration activities, troubleshooting issues and potentially developing or revising standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and lead the daily operations of the calibration team.
- Schedule and prioritize calibration activities to ensure on-time completion and timely support for on demand production and maintenance needs.
- Maintain and improve calibration procedures, documentation, and control systems.
- Manage corrective/preventive actions related to measurement systems.
- Train and mentor calibration technicians to maintain technical competence and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Interface with internal departments, audits and clients on measurement traceability and calibration compliance.
- Lead out of tolerance investigations and improvement process with cross functional team members.
- Analyze calibration data trends to drive improvements in measurement reliability and process control.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, maintain the accuracy and reliability of measurement equipment.
- Work flexible hours for the coverage of project demand.
Special Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of regulated quality systems (pharmaceutical preferred).
- Proficiency with calibration standards, instruments, and software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and PIDs
- 3+ years as a people leader
