Job Description
Salary Range: $55-63K annually. Plus, you earn 40% commission on PT sessions and can earn up to $4K annually ($1K per quarter) in bonuses.

Location: Chicago. You'll be working at one of our primary sites downtown 28 hours a week and spend 12 hours a week at our other Chicago fitness sites (all are downtown or in the West Loop). In other words, you won't get bored!
Work Hours: 40 hours a week. Monday and Thursday you'll work 6am-2pm. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday you'll work 11am-7pm.
Reports to: Fitness Manager at your primary location
Your Mission:
Your mission is to provide an exceptional member fitness experience at the one of lulafit's premier locations and support our other locations as well. You’ll support the day-to-day operations of the fitness center with a hospitality mindset, ensuring a seamless experience that members rave about. You will support the Fitness Manager on-site in addressing inquiries from members, generating and conducting personal training sessions, leading group fitness classes, and ensuring the facility remains welcoming to tenants.

As a result of your time in this role, you brought daily joy to hundreds of members through your group fitness classes, private events, excellent customer service, and personal training. You built strong and meaningful relationships with the building’s management team and tenants and at the other Chicago locations you supported . Your efforts ensured that your primary location became the ultimate hub for tenant engagement and wellness, making it a key factor in lease renewals and solidifying your site as one of the most coveted places to work in the Chicago Loop.
What You're Responsible For:
- CUSTOMER SERVICE
- 1) Maintain Facility Standards: Keep the gym clean, organized, and fully operational to ensure a positive member experience, performing checks throughout the fitness floor regularly during each shift.
- 2) Foster a Positive Environment: Create a fun and engaging atmosphere that encourages tenant participation and enhances their overall experience.
- 3) Provide Outstanding Customer Service: Greet all members enthusiastically, ensuring they feel welcomed as they enter the facility.
- 4) Locker Room Upkeep: Restock supplies and maintain the cleanliness of the locker rooms to uphold high standards of hygiene as needed.
- 5) Member Enrollment Assistance: Guide members through the enrollment process using the Lulafit app.
- 6) Software Proficiency: Utilize membership management tools, including Stripe and Retool, with expertise to support operational needs.
- 7) Soft Touches. Make sure the infused water, diffuser and eucalyptus towels are always full, and up to lulafit’s standards
REVENUE GROWTH
- Goal = Meet or exceed your private services and membership revenue goals and all of your revenue, membership, PT, class attendance, and customer satisfaction KPIs
- Lead prospective member tours highlighting hours of operation, class offerings, personal training services, state of the art equipment, locker and laundry service, and lulafit-specific touches like the lulafit app, infused water, and eucalyptus towels
- Assist in quarterly building events with fellow building staff
- Establish a consistent schedule with training clients to increase the chances of accountability and repeat business
- Convert complimentary training sessions to personal training package purchases as often as possible
- Promote personal training, membership, locker laundry, and private class offerings through word of mouth
FITNESS PROGRAMMING & PERSONAL TRAINING
- Goal= Plan and lead safe and effective group exercise classes and tailored individual personal training sessions
- Lead at least 4 group exercise classes weekly (class times, formats, durations, and frequency may be subject to change based on the schedule)
- Conduct 20+ personal or small group training sessions weekly by retaining existing clients and gaining new clients
- Conduct complimentary sessions with any new member interested in personal training
- Schedule personal training clients on retool a week in advance (if possible) and ensure all completed training sessions are marked delivered at the end of each day
- Track all personal training client programming including goals, workouts, and progressionAssist in special events, and private classes for the building
Who You Are - Baseline Requirements:
- Personal Training certification from national organization (NSCA, NASM, ACE) required
- 1+ years experience as a group fitness instructor
- 1+ years experience personal training 1:1 clients
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Group fitness certification(s)
- You must be comfortable teaching multiple formats of group fitness classes to groups of all sizes and fitness levels
