Description:

Position Purpose

Saint Francis Hosptial and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Patient Representative / Receptionist to join the Community Dental Clinic Team. This position performs a wide range of receptionist duties as initial representative of the Community Dental Center, who prepares and maintains patient records and appointments.

What you will do

  • Confirms patient appointments, retrieves and files patient records, prepares and maintains daily schedule, answers and screens heavy volume phone calls

  • Responsible for taking payments, assists in billing and oversees patient reception area.

  • Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits

  • Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, additional clerical training preferred

  • Minimum one-year clerical experience in a dental office setting

  • Medical terminology skills
