Job Description

The core function of this position is to strengthen the supply chain by picking, staging, loading, receiving, and shipping product to support the operation and customer demand. Tasks are operating various material handling equipment and technical equipment in the warehouse. The position is a full-time position with an expectation of 45-50 hours per week. Some Saturday / Sunday work is necessary. Flexibility with shift preference and scheduled workdays is required.

Schedule: B Team, Day shift 12 hour shift 2,2,3

Work Location: 200 NW Victoria Dr. Lee's Summit MO

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $22.00 (Annually or Per Hour) with additional bonus potential (*if position is bonus eligible)

Task Overview

  • Use forklift (sit-down / counter-balanced) and other material handling equipment to pick, stage, load, or receive goods.
  • Maintain flow of materials and products to / from production floor and warehouse
  • Use wireless RF scanning equipment to maintain inventory accuracy.  
  • Maintain industry leading quality and customer service standards. 
  • Assist physical inventory of the warehouse.  Perform cycle counts as needed.
  • Piece-pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment.
  • Inspect and perform light maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment.  Identify safety hazards and prepare work orders to correct issues
  • Perform routine sanitation of warehouse areas.  Restack broken pallets and remove damages.
  • Consolidate partial pallets and clear bays for incoming goods and materials
  • Support other departments to insure efficient operation of the business

Requirements

  • Forklift certification and experience operating various material-handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of mobile computing, RF scanning, and thermal transfer printing
  • Proficient in math, figuring and counting
  • Effective oral and written communication.  Reading and comprehending the English language is highly critical.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team    
  • A high regard for safety
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.  Ability to piece-pick multiple cases weighing up to 30 pounds on a continual basis.
  • Ability to tolerate variable temperatures in the work area depending on the season.    
  • High School diploma or equivalent
