Job Description
Medwiz Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Lexington, KY. The Pharmacy Technician will perform functions related to the pharmacy. This role requires professional judgment and extensive technical training.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process receipt within system of daily orders from wholesaler and other vendors.
- Facilitate the management of medication inventories by; making sure drug product is within date, rotate inventory as necessary, stored within USP guidelines timely and accurate stocking of daily wholesaler deliveries.
- Maintain all medication shelves and storage areas in a clean, organized and orderly fashion.
- Process all drug returns promptly and appropriately within the necessary management system. Adjust inventory levels as needed when returns are processed.
- Ensure packaged returns meet manufacturer and wholesaler shopping requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training course and state licensing, as required
- National certification preferred but not required
