Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Billing position oversees all billing within Trimont's Americas operating companies. This position is crucial for guaranteeing that all Trimont's revenue is billed timely and accurately. This role requires keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and document the fee structure and payment methods for all clients in the Americas
  • Delegate billing tasks to associates and evaluate their work for accuracy and quality
  • Review and approve all invoices in line with the monthly close timeline
  • Oversee and sanction the export of fees for payment through remittance, adhering to the monthly remittance schedule
  • Keep billing systems and process documentation up to date
  • Train billing associates on departmental procedures and serve as a resource for resolving questions and issues
  • Collaborate with the Revenue team to ensure revenue accuracy and completeness
  • Work with the Corporate Cash team to address discrepancies between billed and collected amounts
  • Partner with peers in Onboarding, Remittance, Treasury, etc., to enhance interdepartmental process efficiency
  • Serve as the main contact for addressing billing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including work with accounts receivable (AR), month-end close procedures, and account analysis/reconciliation
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Committed to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and independent, with a track record of taking initiative and owning responsibilities
  • Effective at interacting with team members across all organizational levels
  • Skilled in meaningful communication, actively sharing information and valuably considering others' perspectives
  • Utilizes logical analysis for problem-solving, systematically addressing challenges, and finding effective solutions beyond the obvious
  • Exhibits exceptional time management skills, adept at managing multiple priorities and consistently meeting deadlines
