Job Description

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – [Outpatient Clinic / Skilled Nursing Facility]

Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year

Location: Trumbull, Connecticut

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

We are a well-established Outpatient Rehab Center in Connecticut, dedicated to providing top-tier physical therapy and rehabilitation services. Our team values compassionate care, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. You’ll work closely under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing care plans for patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising therapists
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs
  • Document treatment services accurately and timely per facility and state guidelines
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active Connecticut PTA License (or eligibility prior to start)
  • Experience in [outpatient / skilled nursing] settings preferred, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and clinical skills
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
