What you can expect as a Teaching Assistant:
Are you passionate about education and eager to make a real difference in the lives of students? Join us as a Teaching Assistant at one of our three schools, where you'll have a direct impact on students with complex disabilities and visual impairments. In this vital role, you'll support our educators and help our students thrive. We offer flexible schedules to meet your needs, as well as the potential for free, on-campus housing and meals!

You encourage student independence, self-confidence, and overall growth by providing direct care, teaching independent living skills, and offering classroom support.
You excel at building positive relationships that help students manage their behaviors and develop social and communication skills.
You have a strong understanding of both the general curriculum and the expanded core curriculum, and you effectively support and implement IEP goals to help students reach their educational milestones.
You are detail-oriented, able to maintain accurate records of student progress, and skilled at evaluating and documenting learning outcomes.
You take initiative in engaging students in activities that meet their individual needs and communicate their progress clearly with colleagues and team members.
You are compassionate about creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and motivated to succeed.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience working with students with special needs , either in a classroom setting, through volunteer work or in another professional setting preferred
Willingness to complete and maintain First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safety-Care Training, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Sign Language (dependent on program needs)
Valid driver's license and willingness to drive school vehicles preferred
