Job Title: Biology Postdoctoral Fellow in Antarctic Soil Microbial Ecology

Position Start Date: August 1, 2025
Required Degree: Ph.D. in Ecology, Microbiology, Evolutionary Biology, or a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Strong background in soil ecology, microbiology, bioinformatics, or polar research
Experience with molecular techniques, environmental DNA analysis, and statistical modeling
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Willingness to travel to remote field sites, including Antarctica
Duties/Expectations:
Conduct independent and collaborative research on soil microbial and invertebrate communities
Design and implement field studies in Antarctic ecosystems
Analyze complex ecological data, including metagenomic, transcriptomic, and environmental datasets
Prepare manuscripts for high-impact scientific journals
Present research findings at national and international conferences
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Contribute to grant writing and project development
