Job Description
The Kitchen Cabinet and Countertop Estimator will be an integral part of the Hartson-Kennedy customer service team reporting to the HK Marion Customer Service Manager. A strong knowledge of the kitchen and bath market is critical for helping customers and driving sales.
Purpose of Role/Statement of Work:
The Kitchen Cabinet and Countertop Estimator is responsible for finalizing the details of cabinet sales and preparing accurate estimates for multi-unit cabinet and countertop projects. This role requires a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who is committed to delivering outstanding service to both customers and internal team members. The Estimator plays a critical role in supporting the sales process and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of project proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and finalize cabinet sales with customers and HK Sales team.
- Prepare precise estimates for multi-unit cabinet and countertop projects.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to develop accurate material takeoffs using 2020 design software.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with clients and internal staff.
- Ensure estimates are completed within project timelines.
- Organize estimates and maintain estimate log
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen cabinetry and countertop materials, design, and installation.
- Proven experience in estimating or related roles within the construction, remodeling, or cabinetry industry.
- Proficiency with design or estimating software (e.g., 2020 Design, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in 20/20
- Minimum of 2 years of experience estimating jobs from blueprints/layouts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift, On-site
