Hiring Range: $75,296.00 to $100,401.60
Pay Range: $75,296.00 to $112,964.80

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
A Crisis Clinician works on a multidisciplinary consult/liaison team, alongside Psychiatrists and Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs), to provide behavioral health services to customer-owners of all ages in the ANMC Emergency Department and inpatient medical units. The Crisis Clinician's primary role is to assess suicide and violence risk, as well as grave disability, and assist with making clinical determinations for need for higher level of care versus safe discharge to the community with supports in place. Additionally, they provide brief intervention therapeutic services, as well as referral to outside programming.
The Crisis Clinicians are available 365 days a year, 24 hours per day. Each Crisis Clinician works on a 3-12 schedule, consecutive days, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in behavioral health field including Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Current Alaska Clinical licensure.
- Two (2) years of post-licensure supervised clinical work experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician II at SCF.
- One (1) year of psychiatric crisis experience (pre or post-licensure); OR demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician II at SCF, which included experience handling crisis situations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS as required for specialty.
