Job Title: Skip Tracer
Job Summary:
The focus of this position is to locate and verify new addresses by utilizing skip trace processes to search for and validate all findings. Team members use a variety of resources and databases to identify the most accurate and current addresses, supporting successful service attempts. This role requires strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and cross-reference data from multiple sources. Additionally, the team collaborates closely with process servers and the Service Team to ensure timely and effective communication of address updates and service results, contributing to overall case progress and compliance with legal requirements.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct thorough skip trace searches using various databases and resources to locate new or updated addresses.
- Maintain accurate records of skip trace results and update internal systems accordingly.
- Ensure address verifications are completed accurately and on time to meet case deadlines.
- Utilize research tools and public records to gather comprehensive information as needed.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or challenges encountered during the skip trace process.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support legal case progression.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1 or more years of experience in skip tracing, investigations, legal support, or a related field preferred.
- Experience using skip trace software, public records, and various online databases is a plus.
- Prior experience working with legal, process serving, or collections environments is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and comfortable learning new systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of skip tracing techniques, databases, and online research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and service providers.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
