Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Graphic Designer reports to the Marketing Director and will support internal/external communications by creating high-quality graphics, assembling company presentations, and maintaining brand consistency across all materials.

 

Essential Functions

  • Design engaging marketing materials, including brochures, social media graphics, digital ads, helmet stickers, job site signage, and collateral
  • Assemble and design company presentations (PowerPoint, InDesign, Prezi, etc.) for company meetings and events
  • Work closely with the marketing to translate concepts into visually appealing content
  • Maintain and evolve Jaynes’ visual identity and brand guidelines
  • Source or create imagery, icons, and infographics to enhance designs
  • Assist with occasional website content updates (no coding required)
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design (internship or freelance experience counts!)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including corporate presentations
  • Excellent attention to detail, layout, typography, and visual storytelling
  • Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with internal teams
  • Understanding of branding, marketing, and visual communication best practices
  • Familiarity with digital tools is a plus
  • Basic video editing or animation skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects) are a plus
  • Photography or photo editing experience is a plus

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, this position may occasionally require the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds of paper, files, and/or equipment. This position requires the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time to enter data into multiple systems and conduct face-to-face meetings or interviews.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time non-union position. The scheduled hours are approximately 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling options. Hours may be extended as required to execute the tasks assigned.

 

Travel

Travel is not required for this position.

 

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field; and at least three years of experience in graphic design (internship or freelance experience counts!).

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Must pass a pre-employment screen, including but not limited to a drug and alcohol screen, background check, motor vehicle records check, reference check and physical (if applicable).
  2. Current and valid driver’s license in the state of permanent residence (must be insurable by Jaynes automobile insurance carrier in order to drive a Jaynes vehicle).
  3. Must be eligible per Fleet Safety Management policy to operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for company purposes.
