Data Warehouse Technical Lead

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Technical Lead to join our team. This senior-level role requires a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in a technical lead position. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and PowerBI. The Data Warehouse Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data warehouse solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of data warehouse solutions using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and PowerBI.
• Oversee the architecture and data modeling to ensure high-performance, secure, and scalable data solutions.  Ensure the Data Warehouse is designed and built for Self-Service Analytics.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to load and transform large volumes of structured and semi-structured data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT professionals, to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure data governance and data quality standards are met across all data warehouse solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data warehouse systems, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending and implementing best practices to improve our data warehouse solutions.

This position is located in either Charlotte, NC (Uptown Area) or Hartsville, SC.

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in a technical lead role, specifically in data warehousing and business intelligence.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server, including database design, development, and optimization.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory for building and managing ETL processes.
• Strong expertise in PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance principles.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure data warehouse solutions.
•  Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Experience with other data warehousing technologies and tools, such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Knowledge of data integration tools and techniques, including APIs and data lakes.
• Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics concepts
• Certification in relevant technologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar.
