Swansea Wood School is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes inâ¯traumaâ¯informed care.â¯Swansea Wood provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.â¯
Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 (dependent on licensing and experience)
JRI Provides The Training So That:â¯
- YOU will be able to create and implement structured lesson plans while building a therapeutic rapport with our students.
- YOU will be able to work collaboratively with our Special Education team to provide the best academics for our students.
- YOU will be able to attend meetings with family members, collaterals and other teams to address any of the student’s academic needs.
- YOU will helpâ¯studentsâ¯discover what makes them feel competent and valuedâ¯by working with themâ¯to develop important life skills.â¯Yourâ¯day-to-dayâ¯workâ¯willâ¯support studentsâ¯inâ¯developing a sense of selfâ¯andâ¯provide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.â¯

Requirements:â¯
- Must be 21 years of age.â¯
- Must be licensed or be eligible to be waived by the Massachusetts DESE for Special Education Moderate Disabilities 5-12 and/or Secondary Education licensure.
- Relevant experience with grades 5-12 preferred.
- Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.â¯
- At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!â¯
