Job Overview

  • Provides general secretarial services.
  • Schedules patients for exams.
  • Assigns patients to correct areas for exams.
  • Receives, maintains, and releases radiographs and reports to patients and physicians for continuing care.
  • Communicates and coordinates information and tasks as directed by the Administrator.
  • Troubleshoots computer problems as directed by the Information Systems Manager.
  • Pre-certification for applicable procedures.
  • Distributes interdepartmental mail and telephone messages to personnel.
  • Assists Provider to improve efficiencies.
  • Performs other relative health care services allowed under applicable law and regulations which are within scope of training; assists clinical staff within scope of training.
  • Assists in orientation activities.
  • Participates in meetings and in-service programs.
  • Complies with facility/hospital Policies and Procedures.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities related to patient care/services.
  • Assists with moving patients.
  • Operate a computer, typewriter, fax machine, and copy machine.
  • Maintains supplies/inventory.
  • Performs phlebotomy for patient labs.
  • Retrieves medications from onsite medication formulary for provider.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
