Job Description

The Production Manager at Legacy Restoration is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production team, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing production schedules, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality control procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in production management within the construction or restoration industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to optimize processes and workflows.

Production Oversight:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the production team to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Coordinate with project managers, sales, and procurement teams to ensure materials, labor, and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and financial goals.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the production team, including technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to ensure that team members are meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and improve productivity.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all work meets Legacy Restoration’s quality standards and complies with industry regulations and building codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing projects to ensure quality and address any issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager to implement corrective actions when necessary and improve overall project quality.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for improving production processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement lean production principles and other process improvement techniques to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
  • Continuously monitor production performance and suggest improvements in materials, methods, and technology.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety audits and ensure that all team members are trained in and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Promote a culture of safety across the production team, identifying and addressing any safety risks promptly.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth communication and coordination across teams.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, production performance, and challenges to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that their expectations are met throughout the production process.

Reporting Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, project progress, and resource utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records of all production activities, including materials used, labor hours, and project costs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on production data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in production or operations management
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of production processes, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in production or operations management within the construction or restoration industry.

Work Environment:

  • This role involves a combination of office-based work and on-site management of production activities.
  • The Production Manager may need to visit various project sites and occasionally work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
$85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.
