DecisiveInstincts, LLC is actively seeking a Senior Data Scientist with an active TS/SCI clearance to support high-impact national security missions in the DC/VA/MD area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of data science and analytics, particularly with Python, and have a proven ability to design and execute machine learning and statistical analysis projects while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with national security investigators and analysts to understand data science needs, recommend solutions, and deliver results in a timely manner.
Lead and/or design machine learning (ML), statistical, and data analysis efforts.
Perform and/or customize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to aggregate and prepare data from multiple repositories for analysis.
Interpret data, identify key features and model variables, assess model quality, and suggest or implement remediation strategies.
Innovate new methods for handling, analyzing, and managing large-scale data and datasets.
Explore core issues related to data search, handling, and retention.
Design and develop new software solutions to enhance data search and processing.
Test and validate data quality and processing pipelines.
Automate data workflows and repetitive analysis tasks to increase efficiency.
Communicate analysis results and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
Required (Must Haves):
Active TS/SCI clearance
High proficiency in Python
Demonstrated expertise in data science, data analytics, machine learning, or statistical analysis
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Information Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field
OR
- Four (4) years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
