PURPOSE
To support the Risk Management department in the timely and accurate handling of workplace injury claims by maintaining organized records, coordinating with internal and external partners, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe work environment by reviewing incident footage, tracking return-to-work efforts, and assisting with safety-related initiatives. .
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review surveillance reports and footage to assess consistency with reported injuries and work restrictions.
- Review and archive videos related to reported accidents.
- Assist with tracking and reporting workplace injury claims.
- Help gather and organize documentation for claims investigations.
- Follow up with clinics and employees to collect work status reports and verify any job restrictions.
- Maintain accurate records of lost workdays, modified duty, and return-to-work plans.
- Support communication with third-party claims adjusters and internal teams.
- Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with safety program tracking and help promote a safe work environment.
- Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Ability to provide professional and respectful customer service to internal and external partners.
- Awareness of workplace safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, Cal-OSHA).
- Willingness to learn about how risk management and safety programs operate in a business setting.
- Strong organizational and research skills to support investigations and documentation.
- Ability to follow procedures and support program goals under supervision.
- Basic understanding of confidentiality and compliance with laws and company policies.
- Proficient in using computers to manage records and reports.
- Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality environments is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish is required
- Demonstrated working knowledge and implementation of Cal-OSHA, OSHA and safety programs is a plus
- Ability to apply good judgment when responding to officials and investigating safety issues
- Self-motivated with the ability to take the initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to partner with others to achieve results
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid Driver's License
