Job Description

CorDx is a successful biotechnology company that is expanding its operations and is seeking a Biological QA Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all biological products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves performing routine inspections, conducting tests, and maintaining accurate documentation to comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality assurance checks and inspections on biological products and materials.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Document and record all test results, inspections, and findings in a clear and organized manner.
  • Identify and report any deviations or non-conformances from quality standards to the QA Manager.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to biological products.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the laboratory by following all safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the biological or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting biological tests.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Control.
