About the role

Slash is transforming the financial services landscape, and we're seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to head our Risk Operations and Customer Success team. In this important role, you'll build robust compliance and risk management processes, and automate operational workflows. You'll collaborate cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Sales to proactively manage risk, drive efficiency, and create an exceptional customer experience. You’ll also dive into customer pain points, turn feedback into action, and lead an experienced customer success team.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, scale, and oversee comprehensive risk management and compliance operations, embedding automation and intelligent process design across critical workflows.

  • Lead, hire, and mentor a high-performing Risk Operations and Customer Success team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and customer obsession

  • Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance operational effectiveness, compliance adherence, and customer satisfaction.

  • Operate in a fast-paced, zero-fluff environment, prioritize ownership and execution, move quickly, and focus relentlessly on outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely across the company to proactively identify risks, optimize product usability, and drive product improvements informed by customer insights and feedback as well as compliance requirements.

  • Leverage tools such as Zapier, Retool, and advanced analytics to automate routine tasks, enabling the team to focus strategically on complex customer and compliance challenges.

  • Rely on first principles to solve customer and operational problems, be a strategic leader and bias toward action.

  • Help us continue to build a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent, promoting curiosity, ownership, and speed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a proven track record of leading, scaling, and optimizing Risk Operations and/or Customer Success teams in high-growth fintech, technology startups, or financial services environments.

  • Demonstrates expertise and passion in building and automating operational processes, compliance frameworks, and risk management systems from the ground up.

  • Brings strong technical and analytical instincts — is comfortable digging into systems, understanding workflows, and collaborating with other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Is both a big-picture relationship builder and an on-the-ground business operator, equally skilled at building relationships internally and externally while driving daily operational excellence and alignment.

  • Thrives in dynamic, high-velocity environments, can operate without a playbook, and knows how to execute decisively, with clarity, urgency, and strategic vision.
