Job Description

Position Overview

Join our Accounting team as an Accounting Intern, where you'll apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting. This internship provides hands-on experience with day-to-day financial operations, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to key projects in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Match supplier invoices with incoming routers and enter data into the Oracle ERP Payables module
  • Assist with weekly A/P check runs and process payments
  • File accounts payable documentation and process supplier credit references
  • Reconcile vendor statements with the AP trial balance
  • Support the monthly close by entering journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Post departmental financial results to spreadsheets
  • Maintain petty cash records
  • Review and process travel and purchasing card expense reports
  • Analyze financial data using Excel
  • Ensure compliance with company EH&S policies and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Completed introductory accounting coursework with a basic understanding of financial principles
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a desire to learn

Physical & Work Environment

  • Primarily sedentary office work; may involve light lifting (5-10 lbs.)
  • Prolonged periods at a computer workstation
  • Quiet, climate-controlled office environment
