Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Outbound Loader to join our shipping team. This position is responsible for loading Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments (e.g., Old Dominion, Southeastern Freight, Estes) as well as dedicated carrier trucks. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of urgency, a commitment to quality, and the ability to prepare outbound shipments in a clean, organized, and secure manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load LTL and dedicated carrier trucks efficiently and accurately
- Consolidate, pack, and band orders neatly for shipment
- Print bin contents reports and packing slips; must be computer-savvy
- Audit orders for accuracy and quality assurance before shipment
- Operate in and maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
- Ensure all outbound shipments meet company and customer standards
- Operate forklifts and potentially a yard jockey or other specialized equipment (preferred)
- Communicate effectively with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely loading
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts; yard jockey experience is a plus
- Comfortable using computers to generate packing slips and reports
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
