advanced technology engine services overhaul facility. Here, employees are helping to restore commercial and military jet engines to their fullest functionality, efficiency, and performance. We have experienced teams working in plasma, frame and wire spraying, polyurethane and sermetel painting as well as heat treating, brazing, and TIG welding operations. In addition to comprehensive internal engine repair/overhaul, we also operate a world-class evaluation and testing facility that's FEDEC capable.

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in special processes, you will utilize your expertise in manufacturing technologies to support business goals and programs for aircraft engine component repair. This role requires a strong foundation in functional skills and knowledge of relevant aircraft engine technologies. You will work on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing special processes, including mechanical cleaning and welding.
  • Conduct metallography evaluations and prepare reports for production and/or new product introduction.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing processes, equipment, and process instructions to ensure process control, stability, and conformance.
  • Drive improvements that lead to cost reduction, productivity enhancements, and product quality improvements.
  • Support repair industrializations aligned with repair readiness levels, including tooling, planning, and equipment.
  • Investigate, develop, and apply new technologies to manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other manufacturing engineers to deliver results and drive innovation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills and are capable of influencing others and leading small teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing).
  • Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong material science background.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.

Additional Information:

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees, and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • Must pass background and drug screens.
  • Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.
