Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Retail Operations & Visual Merchandising Specialist will focus on processing and merchandising new retail for the Portland studios. This is a part-time role with hours not exceeding 28 hr per week. Weekly hours will fluctuate based on product delivery timelines and merchandising needs. This role will require travel between all 5 Portland studios and the Home Office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and process incoming inventory
- Unpack, sort, check in, update Accounting documents
- Print and affix barcode stickers to each item
- Update inventory for each studio in Point of Sales system
- Pack new inventory for each studio manager to transport back to their location
- Visually merchandise retail items at each studio
- Complete floor resets once per month in coordination with the Studio Manager
- Refresh and restock bi-monthly, or as needed.
- Inventory management
- Transfer product between studios to support sell-through to clients
- In coordination with the Studio Manager, complete monthly markdowns before launching new collections
- Manage all inventory reductions, including damages and gratis and update Accounting documentation
- Manage client transfer requests as needed
- Monitor stock levels of items that are re-ordered and inform Sr. Corporate Retail Manager of need to purchase
- Support Social Media + Community Outreach Specialist to capture content to promote retail on barre3 Portland Instagram account and partner with the Portland Social Media Manager to create retail-focused posts at least once per week
- Assist Studios Managers with monthly and/or quarterly inventory as directed by the Sr. Corporate Retail Manager and Accounting
- Assist Studio Managers with on-site events as they pertain to retail focused promotions
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous retail experience
- Interest in fashion and current trends
- Experience with the Mariana Tek platform
