Right at Home is a growing, locally owned home health company in Cedar Falls. We currently provide skilled nursing, Occupational and Physical therapies, companionship and personal cares for a wide variety of clients in Eastern Iowa. We proudly provide these services to veterans, and we are in need of a full-time occupational therapist to expand the level of skilled care available to them.
Responsibilities of a Home-based Occupational Therapist with Right at Home:
- Provide high-quality evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
- Develop personalized care plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall function of patients in the home setting, involving patients in setting goals.
- Communicate and collaborate with associated medical professionals to achieve patient goals.
- Clear, concise documentation.
- Regular communication with physicians, nurses, and case managers within Veterans Affairs as needed.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, managing own schedule.
- Supervise home health aides involved in patient care.

Requirements for a Home-based Occupational Therapist with Right at Home:
- Currently licensed and in good standing.
- Meets the health requirements for employees providing direct patient care.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Have a valid driver's license and an insured automobile.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- A soft spot for our older adult patient population!
