Senior Manager Security Devops

As Senior Manager, DevOps at Arhaus, you will lead the strategic development and operational execution of DevOps practices that power our retail ecosystem. You'll drive modernization and automation across our cloud environments to ensure high-performing, scalable, and secure experiences for customers and stakeholders. In this role you'll collaborate across IT, product, and business teams to champion a DevOps culture focused on continuous delivery, rapid innovation, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure & Platform Ownership: Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of infrastructure that supports retail-critical applications.
• CI/CD & Automation: Develop and refine robust CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery of retail applications and services, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and minimal downtime.
• Cloud & Container Strategy: Drive the adoption of cloud-native solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) tailored for retail workloads with fluctuating demand and uptime sensitivity.
• Monitoring & Incident Management: Establish real-time monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to ensure reliable uptime for customer-facing platforms, including mobile apps, POS systems, and online storefronts.
• Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure meets industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS), integrating security practices throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, development, security, and store operations teams to align DevOps strategies with retail initiatives, ensuring agility and alignment with business goals.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing DevOps engineering team, fostering innovation, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Cost & Capacity Planning: Analyze and forecast infrastructure requirements, optimizing for performance and cost-efficiency-particularly around seasonal spikes and omnichannel expansion.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience managing DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams in a retail, e-commerce, or high-availability environment.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., GitOps, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure automation in large-scale production systems.
• Familiarity with retail systems, including POS, inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer-facing web/mobile apps.
• Strong grasp of DevSecOps principles and experience working in PCI-compliant environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
