Job Description
Examples of Key Activities:
- Responsible for all indirect spend, encompassing a wide range of services from Software to facilities management.
- Partner with business units to implement procurement strategies.
- Develop and implement all policies related to indirect purchasing.
- Negotiates price, terms, payment and delivery with suppliers.
- Oversight over all facilities in the US related to indirect purchases.
- Establish project budgets and procurement plans, ensuring cost, delivery, and quality requirements are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for supplier negotiations to optimize spending and corporate indirect strategy.
- Ensure that selected suppliers are providing expected business results
Required Experience:
- BS Degree required; 5-7 years of applicable experience specifically:
- 3-5 years of indirect procurement experience.
- Required Technical Competencies:
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Demonstrated Negotiation Skills - ability to develop and execute a negotiation strategy
- Demonstrated Leadership Skills - ability to lead and coach subordinates and other cross-functional personnel
- Proficient in strategic sourcing - utilizes a systematic approach to sourcing
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Procurement-related experience
Required Technical Competencies:
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Proficient in Project Management/ Cost Management/ Time Management
- Demonstrated ability to leverage generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to generate supplier evaluations, category insights, contract summaries, and procurement strategy drafts.
- Knowledgeable of function and capability of core business units including Quality, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Product Management, Technical Writing and Compliance
- Broad Business Viewpoint and understanding
- Using platforms/tools such as, Baan, SharePoint, Project Server, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Windchill or like technologies
- Strong problem analysis skill and contingency planning - ability to dissect complex problems into manageable components.
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS Project
