Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Director of People + Culture to join our team. This position will support a cluster of hotels located in the DMV region, as well as play a key role in supporting the PM Hotel Group Support Center. This is a highly visible and hands-on people + culture (HR) leadership role responsible for partnering with hotel leadership to drive associate engagement, talent development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and tactical HR support to a portfolio of hotels in the DMV region.
Serve as a trusted advisor to General Managers and property leaders on employee relations, staffing, compliance, and performance management.
Lead and support recruitment efforts for key positions across assigned hotels and PM Hotel Group's Support Center.
Partner with hotel teams to champion associate engagement initiatives and support the implementation of people-focused programs and practices.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all properties.
Collaborate with the VP of People + Culture and broader HR team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Regularly visit hotel properties and the Support Center to build strong relationships and provide onsite support.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Proven success in multi-property or multi-site HR leadership.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for people and service.
Must be based in the DMV region and able to travel regularly to local properties and the Support Center.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually + incentive potential
