Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Director of People + Culture to join our team. This position will support a cluster of hotels located in the DMV region, as well as play a key role in supporting the PM Hotel Group Support Center. This is a highly visible and hands-on people + culture (HR) leadership role responsible for partnering with hotel leadership to drive associate engagement, talent development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and tactical HR support to a portfolio of hotels in the DMV region.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to General Managers and property leaders on employee relations, staffing, compliance, and performance management.

  • Lead and support recruitment efforts for key positions across assigned hotels and PM Hotel Group's Support Center.

  • Partner with hotel teams to champion associate engagement initiatives and support the implementation of people-focused programs and practices.

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all properties.

  • Collaborate with the VP of People + Culture and broader HR team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Regularly visit hotel properties and the Support Center to build strong relationships and provide onsite support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Proven success in multi-property or multi-site HR leadership.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for people and service.

  • Must be based in the DMV region and able to travel regularly to local properties and the Support Center.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually + incentive potential
