Job Description

About the Marketing Coordinator position

The Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in driving the execution of marketing strategies by supporting the daily operations of the marketing department. This position ensures smooth workflow, timely delivery of initiatives, and alignment with organizational goals. Through coordination of data analysis, budget tracking, content and website management, customer engagement, event planning, and cross-functional collaboration, the Marketing Coordinator helps elevate brand presence and operational efficiency across the organization.

Marketing Coordinator responsibilities are:

  Departmental Operations

  • Support the smooth and efficient functioning of the marketing department.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance overall productivity.
  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.

  Syndicated Data Analysis

  • Work with syndicated data sources (IRI, NPD, SPINS, etc.) to produce monthly reports including visuals and written summaries.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by the sales team.

  Invoice and Budget Coordination

  • Create purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system.
  • Verify invoice accuracy and track spending against the marketing budget.

  Customer/Consumer Interactions

  • Manage incoming calls and voicemails through the marketing phone line.
  • Respond to consumer incidents through the company's interaction platform.

  Website Management

  • Conduct monthly audits of company websites for accuracy.
  • Coordinate necessary updates with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

  Coupon Program Coordination

  • Partner with agencies to manage coupon campaigns.
  • Report on campaign effectiveness and maintain annual performance summaries.

  Sales Support and Marketing Request Coordination

  • Review and prioritize marketing requests from the sales team.
  • Manage execution of requests through coordination with external agencies.

  Marketing Collateral Support

  • Proofread marketing POS, e-blasts, etc. for accuracy and brand consistency.

  SWAG and Sample Coordination

  • Manage ordering and inventory of branded promotional items (SWAG) for events, campaigns, and general use.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system and ensure timely reorders to meet department needs.
  • Coordinate sample orders for marketing initiatives, events, and sales team requests.
  • Oversee shipping logistics and ensure accurate and timely delivery of samples and promotional items.
  • Track usage and costs of swag and samples to support budget planning and reporting.

  Event Planning and Execution

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external marketing events.
  • Liaise with vendors, agencies, and internal teams to ensure successful event logistics.
  • Support on-site event setup, registration, sampling, and post-event reporting.

Marketing Coordinator requirements are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on marketing experience or equivalent academic preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with strong capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Comfortable working with analytical tools and platforms; strong editing, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and works effectively under pressure.
  • Exhibits a respectful, approachable demeanor and contributes to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
