Job Description

The Associate, Post Close Compliance will support the post-close compliance team with all post close processes and activities. This role requires a high level of organization skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. The Associate will interact with internal stakeholders and external customers and ensure that post-closing activities and obligations are tracked and resolved.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and analyze post-close documentation and filings, including sale agreements, legal documents, title and zoning reports, financial statements and reports, and regulatory submissions.
  • Assist with coordinating and tracking all post close related work to completion.
  • Maintain and update accurate records and status of post close activities
  • Assist in identifying and resolving any post close requirements and activities.
  • Work with external customers in resolving post-closing questions and ensure timely responses, providing top-notch customer service.
  • Manage the post close email box and ensure timely responses to all parties.
  • Develop and implement strategy and process to work with various team across the organization.
  • Support the preparation and submission of reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in audits and reviews of post close transactions to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to post close activities.
  • Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Investments, Transactions, Asset Management teams, and various accounting teams as well as external stakeholders such as sellers, buyers and their agents.
  • Onboard & assists in training new team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS in Real Estate, Business Management, Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in real estate industry with experience in diligence preferred
  • Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet
