Join us at The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Payroll Specialist (Hybrid/Remote). Work alongside our collaborative team at the Central Administration office located in NE Portland.

By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you'll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs.

Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the TOC payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Manage various other payroll activities, including answering employee questions and responding to customer requests.
  • Processes bi-weekly and monthly payroll within required timeframes.
  • Processes terminated employees in the timeframe required by law.
  • Processes new hires.
  • Provide training and materials to internal customers for timesheets as needed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems and concerns with timekeeping system as needed.
  • Inputs and updates all HR/Payroll data in the HRIS system.
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems and concerns with the timekeeping system.
  • Prepares Payroll/HR Reports and distributes to appropriate personnel.
  • Updating records as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $26.43-$35.75 per hour.

Workdays: This role is located at the Central Administration Office. Remote/Hybrid work options are available after training completion and meeting expectations. One day onsite is required each week. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (7:00 am-4:00 pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting, healthcare insurance company, or managed care organization is strongly preferred.
  • Preference for EPIC knowledge, strong customer service skills, experience in medical billing, and handling large patient call volumes.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, & experience with insurance Companies in a work setting.
  • Excellent customer services skills, including having exceptional patience skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
