Job Description

FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fill our Quality Control Consultant role. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide. 

Job Summary: The Quality Control Consultant will perform inspections throughout the duration of an electrical construction project in New Mexico. This is a contract/consultant position that will last around 18 months.

Essential Job Duties: (Included but not limited to) 
  • Ensure project is adhering to established standards and specifications
  • Create and update quality control plans, procedures, and documentation throughout project
  • Perform regular site inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and contract specifications
  • Create and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, including inspection reports and submittal logs
  • Verify that materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet the required standards
  • Identify potential quality problems, collaborate with team to develop corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution
  • Work with project managers, subcontractors, and other relevant parties to maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage the testing and inspection of construction materials and systems to ensure compliance
  • Educate project teams on quality standards and best practices
 
Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • 3-5 years experience performing quality control inspections in a construction field
  • Experience working with high voltage and low voltage systems. 
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and concepts 
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles
  • Ability to conduct thorough inspections and identify potential quality issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner
