The Data & Analytics team is dedicated to building innovative data products that provide actionable insights, empowering our partners to succeed. We focus on curating and maintaining key data sources and statistics that serve internal and external stakeholders.

We seek a Senior Analytics Engineer to take ownership of our reporting infrastructure, including data marts and business reporting tools. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret and clarify requirements, architecting efficient and scalable data solutions. You'll play a key part in shaping the future of data at DriveWealth, balancing competing priorities and laying the groundwork for long-term growth while delivering high-quality data products.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain dbt models and analytics-ready data layers for financial and brokerage datasets
• Optimize incremental loading strategies to handle large datasets
• Ensure performance and scalability in data modeling while establishing data quality checks and validation processes (using dbt tests or custom Python scripts)
• Automate data validation, anomaly detection, and quality checks using dbt tests or custom Python scripts
• Develop interactive reports with drill-down capabilities, helping business teams make data-driven decisions
• Work with the data & analytics team to build "self-service" data products (reports, dashboards, Python notebooks) that promote data adoption across the organization
• Optimize SQL query performance for the reporting suite
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand data requirements and proactively address future feature needs
• Work to establish an open and scalable data culture through documentation, constructive code reviews, and clear explanations of priorities and pain points
• Act as a data evangelist on data quality and testing by working to establish best-in-class development practices that put data quality first

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, engineering, or business intelligence
• Strong SQL expertise and hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation
• Experience working with large-scale financial data, including trade transactions, order books, and post-trade data
• Experience with Python for data processing and automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for data deployments (Git, dbt Cloud, or equivalent)
• Experience building dashboards, optimizing visuals, and delivering actionable insights
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, balancing competing priorities and collaborating across departments
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working within a larger data team, balancing ideation, implementation, and review processes

Nice to Have

• Experience with the financial market and trading concepts
• Experience with Sigma Computing or other data visualization tools
• Experience with Airflow DAGs, Databricks Workflows, or other orchestration services
• Familiarity with Spark, Databricks, and/or AWS
