Position Summary

The Design Support Specialist (DSS) is responsible for activities supporting the documentation of Banner product and manufacturing resources. This position is fast-paced and involves detailed work that requires focus and dedication to quality.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work extensively with Oracle ERP system
• Assign new part numbers and enter all relevant data into Oracle
• Enter and maintain assembly Bills of Materials and Routing documents into Oracle
• Write and/or Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) depending on experience and complexity
• Support the DSS component of the New Product Introduction (NPI) designs and builds
• Answer basic questions from engineers regarding various documentation processes
• Check documents in/out of Web Center with a basic knowledge of metadata
• Develop and maintain procedures and processes for maintaining and correcting engineering documents
• Prioritize and schedule engineering builds
• Interact with manufacturing plants, including domestic, Mexico, and China locations
• Other duties as assigned

Required

• Minimum 2-year degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of production builds and inventory
• Intermediate computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• A customer - service mindset
• Able to manage multiple projects, some of which may have short deadlines
• Able to manage projects with minimal input from others

Preferred

• Relevant experience in industrial documentation systems (such as Oracle, Workfront or NPI) and workflow processes

Pay Range:

$21.65/hour - $40.04/hour

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
