Position Overview

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc. is a well-respected provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, committed to enhancing independence, inclusion, and personal growth for our clients. We are currently seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Psychologist will provide psychological assessments, therapy, and consultation services to individuals across various settings, ensuring a comprehensive and client-centered approach to mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and client needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including behavior analysts, social workers, and medical staff, to ensure the holistic care of clients.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and continuing education opportunities to stay informed on best practices in the field.
  • Engage in community outreach and education efforts to promote mental health awareness and understanding.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid California state license to practice psychology (PsyD or equivalent).
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment techniques and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and diversity issues in psychological practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements.
