Job Overview: The Child Care Center Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Child Care Center Manager in overseeing the operations and financial management of assigned childcare centers. The Supervisor will ensure the delivery of high quality care, foster a safe and nurturing environment, and comply with all regulatory requirements while managing budget and resources effectively.
Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of multiple childcare facilities, ensuring smooth scheduling, enrollment, staffing, and compliance with childcare regulations.
- Financial Management: Develop and oversee budgets, control expenses, set tuition rates, manage billing, and seek funding opportunities while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Staff Supervision & Development: Hire, train, and evaluate staff performance; maintain standards of excellence; and foster a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Curriculum & Care Quality: Oversee delivery of educational programs, monitor child development, ensure high standards of care, and stay current with early childhood education trends.
- Family & Community Engagement: Maintain open communication with families, address concerns, plan engagement events, and analyze parent feedback to improve services.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure a safe environment, uphold health and safety protocols, and maintain full compliance with licensing, inspections, and accreditation standards.
Required Certification/License/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in childcare or early education required. Five years of leadership experience preferred.
- Master's Degree in Education preferred with a minimum of 15 hours in early childhood education.
- Knowledge of child development principles, curriculum design, and childcare licensing requirements required.
- 20 hours of approved professional development required annually.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
Preferred Certification/License/Experience:
- NAEYC Membership preferred.
