Job Description

Description

We are looking for an experienced delivery driver capable of driving an extended Transit van and box truck. Experience driving in the New York City five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk Counties is a must. CDL is not required, but a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Load and unload truck
  • Follow instructions of electronic routing device - deliver packages
  • Comply with policies and procedures regarding truck operation, package delivery, and customer interaction
  • Arrive at loading dock/pick up location on time
  • Keep truck interior neat and clean
  • Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed - 8 to 10 hour shifts, 4 to 5 days per week
  • Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
  • Ability to stand, drive, and lift packages during the entire shift. Ability to move and lift 75 pounds

Requirements

  • You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in driving
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle record, no points or accidents (MVR report will be run prior to employment)
  • Able to pass 4-Panel Drug Test
  • Must have positive attitude to customers
  • Must be able to navigate roads without relying totally on GPS
  • Must have knowledge of NYC and all 5 boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team as well as independently
  • Have good communication skills
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and cooperative attitude
