Job Summary:
The MRI Technician is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Select anatomic and technical parameters appropriate for MRI scans.
- Conduct patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education regarding procedures.
- Enter, monitor, and manage patient data while ensuring image quality and proper documentation.
- Transfer images to PACS system, verifying lead markers and patient history.
- Maintain radiation safety protocols and follow all compliance guidelines.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MRI technology.
- Skills: Expertise in MRI procedures, patient management, and compliance with safety standards.
- Certifications: Traveler MRI Tech documents required.
