Responsibilities:

  • Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training
  • Inspect work sites to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers
  • Work with and educate employees regarding safe work practices (toolbox talks, presentations, etc.)
  • Lead site crews in hazard identification, hazard mitigation, and safety practices
  • Work effectively with management and cross functional teams
  • Ability to run customer job site independently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience
  • Minimum OSHA 30 Construction / GI
  • Skilled in leading internal safety audits, site inspections, and corrective follow-ups
  • Demonstrated ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement effective control measures across diverse work environments
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations; ability to interpret and apply standards
  • Ability to work any shift and weekends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and adjust priorities as needed
  • OEM safety experience preferred (Specifically GM)
  • Skilled in leading thorough investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear safety documentation, metrics, and presentations
  • Strong ability to communicate safety policies, procedures, and issues clearly and effectively to all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Strong computer skills)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 510/500 or 511/501 certification
  • Certified Lead and Asbestos Inspector
  • Certified Safety Professionals (CSP), Health Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor (STS)
  • First Aid/AED/CPR certification
