Job Summary

We are seeking a charismatic and engaging Host to join our team. As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This role requires a warm demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with OpenTable or similar seating systems is a plus!

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and make them feel welcomed.
  • Escort guests to their assigned seating areas or designated floors.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about the establishment, menu, and events.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and table turnover.
  • Maintain a clean and organized entrance area, ensuring necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Monitor and manage guest waitlists, providing accurate wait times and keeping guests informed.
  • Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, events, and menu offerings to share with guests.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in hospitality or a restaurant setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to make guests feel comfortable.
  • Polished, professional appearance.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills for managing reservations and seating systems.
  • Familiarity with OpenTable or similar software is a plus.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for hospitality.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience).
  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary.

Work Environment

  • Physical setting: Upscale casual restaurant.
  • Shifts: 4–12 hours (evening and night shifts available).
  • Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Operating Hours (Excluding Special Events)
      Friday: 5 PM–3 AM
      Saturday: 11 AM–3 AM
      Sunday: 11 AM–7 PM
      Monday: Closed
      Tuesday: Closed
      Wednesday: Closed
      Thursday: 5 PM–2 AM
