We are seeking a visionary design leader to redefine and shape our marketing communications. Your core responsibilities will include visual design direction across robust programs and delivering best-in-class product marketing. You'll partner with copy and design teams to align channel needs and business goals with YETI's brand, delivering impactful design solutions across platforms. You'll discover new, exciting ways to engage customers across our marketing channels and partner with internal and external teams to make sure our creative output is unique and consistent.
As a member of YETI's Brand Design Team, you must bring hands-on skills, a systems-driven mindset, and strategic perspective to the creative process, by translating business strategy into creative execution. This role is critical to driving the overall look and feel, shaping product narratives, and crafting premium content. You will champion innovative, modern, and on-brand creative efforts, working diligently to uphold YETI's brand and image. The Brand Design Manager is ultimately responsible for developing and applying brand guidelines across multiple channels.
Responsibilities:
Champion YETI's brand in support of the overall marketing vision, objectives, and channel business needs.
Lead and direct design solutions backed by data-driven strategies that deliver impact and improve customer loyalty.
Empathize with the customer and influence marketing with a human-centered approach.
Establish consistency across multiple digital channels while identifying opportunities to expand YETI's voice and story.
Elevate the craft of the team and guide all efforts to deliver premium, modern design solutions.
Work closely with the Design and Production Teams to execute and scale all marketing and advertising efforts.
Collaborate effectively with cross functional business partners, including eCommerce, Brand, Content, Community and Product Management.
Continuously update and improve creative team processes, tools, and templates.
Share best practices and innovative creative solutions from the competitive landscape with a continuous pulse on current trends and noteworthy activities.
Represent the design discipline in overall leadership of the team setting the example for creative excellence always leading by example.
Handle difficult situations with grace while under pressure.
Participate in recruiting and hiring efforts, which includes proactively identifying and bringing in creative talent and contributing to sound hiring decisions.
Provide direction to junior teams. Develop and mentor talent via timely, effective feedback.
Inspire and motivate the entire design team by promoting a high-performance fun environment, a strong sense of urgency, quality standards, creative exploration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Qualifications and Attributes:
Strongly preferred Bachelor's or equivalent experience
A minimum of 8 years of experience, with a focus on high quality design and content in premium brands or outdoor categories.
Minimum of 3 years of people management with in creative or studio environments.
Demonstrated expertise in a broad array of areas including marketing campaigns, print advertising, editorial design, and packaging.
Expert level Figma and Adobe Suite program skills.
Experience in art directing photography and image making. Strong, creative design sense for premium products.
Experience in production design and print mediums preferred, but not essential.
Good eye for detail with a locked eye on the big picture.
Highly organized with good project management skills. Able to juggle multiple, and sometimes, conflicting priorities and needs.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Self-driven leader able to work in a fast moving, ever-changing cross-functional team environment.
Proactive in nature and driven to act with a sense of urgency; able to work well under pressure and with demanding deadlines.
A global mind-set with a keen interest in adapting the YETI brand voice, visuals, and campaigns to resonate and scale globally.
Successful track record helping to lead a design team; able to delegate, coach, mentor and provide effective direction and feedback.
Strong collaboration and influence skills; able to build effective relationships with stakeholders across organizational levels.
Optimistic, energetic, and naturally brings the fun to the office.
