Primary Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated individual to work as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician on 1st Shift. The hours for this position are M-F 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
This position has a strong emphasis on Fabrication within our manufacturing environment. This position would be working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety, quality and teamwork are of utmost importance. Individuals in this role can expect to share ownership of projects, achieve a high level of job satisfaction and feel like a valued member of the organization. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform root cause analysis / Corrective Actions
- Program corrections for various sheet metal and plastics fabrication equipment
- Assist with new product introductions through program development and optimization
- Assume equipment responsibility for downtime, preventative maintenance and improvements
- Key team member in operator training sessions
- Ensure safety throughout manufacturing practices, procedures and equipment
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a fabrication role
- Able to work independently and within teams
- Able to learn on the fly and be an excellent problem solver
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with the operation of and programming of sheet metal equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in industrial engineering technology or related
- Experience reading electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Experience with Amada, Cincinnati, Fanuc Robotics, Allen Bradley Controls
