This role is full-time, onsite in San Jose, CA.

Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing cloud architectures, supporting development teams, ensuring high availability, implementing monitoring and alerting systems, managing cloud costs, and ensuring compliance with security standards, including DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps professionals 
  • Support development teams day-to-day and encourage collaboration between development and operations throughout the software development lifecycle. 
  • Manage cloud service spending and provide regular reports and feedback to the development team on proposed architectures. 
  • Create a comprehensive strategy for monitoring and alerting. 
  • Manage version control systems using GitHub and create policies for secure version control practices. 
  • Work with engineering teams to set service-level objectives, improve observability, ensure production readiness, optimize system performance, and facilitate incident response and follow-ups. 
  • DevSecOps Implementations: Perform code review, SAST, DAST, compliance validation, threat detection, security monitoring, and security patching. 
  • Understand and implement security and compliance frameworks, including SOC2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and others, to ensure that the company adheres to industry best practices. 
  • Implement, review, and maintain disaster recovery and incident response strategies. Lead regular tabletop exercises to simulate crisis situations and refine response protocols. 
  • Provide 24x7 alert monitoring, perform incident management, and conduct root cause analysis. 
  • Manage stakeholders and external interfaces. 
  • Support the legal team with security questionnaires from customers. 
  • IT infrastructure security protocols by identifying and deploying necessary cybersecurity measures, performing vulnerability assessments, and managing risks. 
  • Promote and build automated processes wherever feasible, ensuring adherence to development processes throughout the lifecycle, creating or updating new processes, and minimizing waste. 
  • Identify new tools and technologies to improve system performance and cost-efficiency. Lead vendor negotiations. 

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in understanding and implementing security and compliance frameworks, such as SOC2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, and others, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. 
  • Familiarity with SOC2 compliance requirements and prior experience obtaining SOC2 certification. 
  • Strong experience with the Azure platform and components (APIM, AKS, Frontdoor, Eventhub, Event Queue). 
  • Experience creating high reliability and high availability platforms. 
  • Experience creating and managing comprehensive monitoring and logging platforms. 
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure. 
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with GitHub version control systems. 
  • Solid experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK (Elasticsearch). 
  • Strong understanding of databases (MS-SQL, Postgres, MySQL) and SQL. 
  • Azure Certified Solutions Architect is a plus. 
  • Linux/Python scripting experience is a plus. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and team-oriented mindset.
