Position Overview:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a key role in ensuring exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and service throughout the guest rooms and public areas at the Embassy Suites Beach Resort in Gulf Shores. This leader supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily operations, supervising housekeeping staff, and maintaining brand standards for cleanliness and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including rooms, public spaces, laundry, and back-of-house areas.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping team members to ensure efficient and consistent performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Support inventory management of cleaning supplies and linen, ensuring adequate stock levels while controlling costs.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and safety regulations.
  • Help develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance team productivity and guest satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and feedback to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
  • Act as a leader on the floor, setting the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Serve as the department leader in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a full-service or resort hotel environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness and service excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with Hilton systems (OnQ, HotSOS, etc.) is a plus.
