Design Engineer I

You will be part of a dynamic team of Engineers and Designers/Drafters, collaborating closely to achieve project goals and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

In this position, you will apply your technical knowledge to designs, ensuring projects meet specifications and industry standards. You will communicate challenges related to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, working with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages. Your role will involve gaining an understanding of CAD programs and software analysis tools, supporting the preparation of designs, and leading the development of your discipline's design on simple projects. With hands-on experience across all phases of project development, you will continuously grow your technical and design skills. Responsibilities:

• Apply technical knowledge to designs and ensure projects meet specifications.

• Communicate challenges related to scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

• Work with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages.

• Support the preparation of designs, including calculations and drawings.

• Lead the development of design on simple projects and support complex projects.

• Interact with clients on a limited basis.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or GIS Design is a plus.
• Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.

• Effective verbal and listening communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand technical material.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and plan daily activities.

• Ability to work collaboratively with others.

• Basic design skills.
