Job Description
School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for an in person music teacher for grades PreK4 - 8 for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. This teacher is expected to foster a faith-filled, Catholic learning environment which recognizes the dignity of each person while having the skill and expertise to align, plan and implement instruction according to the Archdiocesan curriculum. Additionally, this person is responsible for preparing and planning school liturgies and the school extracurricular choir and drama program.
Essential Functions
- Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
- Provide grade appropriate instructional program.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.
- Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating electronic gradebook frequently.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
- Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include assigned duties such as arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration.
- Develop, arrange, rehearse and conduct repertoire for choral concerts and theater performances
- Provide appropriate liturgical music for school liturgies
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Education, music education preferred
- Current MSDE certification
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching preferred
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education

Range: $46,000 – 90,000, Annualized
