Summary:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong track record of hands-on experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries. The ideal applicant will have demonstrated expertise in working with large and diverse datasets, particularly in healthcare, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights through advanced query development and reporting tools. The position requires interaction with customers (physicians, senior administrators, and data requestors) to provide timely, succinct, and quality data analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, development and maintenance of ETL workflows and automation.
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to analyze data and respond to data issue questions.
- Conducts research and analytical studies, preparing reports that include cost analyses, comparative financial data, and informational data to support findings.
- Consults with customers to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements. Support customers in providing custom data extracts as needed.
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for key stakeholders using SSRS and PowerBI.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse. Data sourcing, data mapping and managing metadata
- Advanced ETL skills preferably Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Strong, proven SQL experience - minimum of 3 years work experience using SQL
- Proven experience using PowerBI or building reports and dashboards (SSRS experience a plus)
- Accomplished in ability to find accurate data across multiple servers and databases
- Experience with AI or machine learning is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Analytics
- Experience in healthcare data
- This position is approximately 70% remote with some required days in the office.
