Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager in Real Estate and Partnership Tax to join our leadership team. This individual will oversee complex client engagements, advise on technical real estate and partnership tax issues, and play a key role in mentoring and developing the team. This is a critical role for someone seeking to impact firm growth and deepen client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead advisor on high-level real estate tax consulting projects and compliance engagements.
- Advise clients on tax implications of partnership structures, transactions, and strategic decisions.
- Review and sign off on partnership-specific computations, including:
- Section 704(b) allocations and capital account maintenance
- Section 752 liability allocations
- Section 734(b)/743(b) adjustments
- TRA modeling and tax basis planning
- Manage multiple client relationships and deliver superior client service.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor tax staff, managers, and senior associates.
- Contribute to business development efforts, thought leadership, and practice expansion.
- Engage with the NTO and contribute to technical initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of progressive tax experience, with a focus on real estate and partnership taxation.
- Expertise in Subchapter K and real estate tax planning.
- Proven experience managing complex engagements and staff.
- CPA required; MST, JD, or LLM strongly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, project management, and leadership skills.
